Each Saturday Tony Olmi brought his Enthusiasm and Life Experience to KIVA. Positively New Mexico explored the Uniqueness of New Mexico History, its People (Past and Present) and its Beautiful Places! New Mexico’s High Desert Altitude and The Latitude are reflected in its special, Outdoor, Pioneering and Venturesome Attitude! Positively New Mexico” was a type of Radio Magazine offering a broad view of the many contributions of New Mexico and New Mexicans to National and World Affairs and Events. We also discusse the cultural and demographic mixtures, of New Mexico’s population and their many contributions to New Mexico and New Mexico culture.

Tony a NM Real Estate Broker for 33 years carries the respected Seniors Real Estate Specialist® designation of the National Association of Realtors®. He is a Veteran of the United States Air force, a Naturalized Citizen, former Business Management Specialist and Disaster Relief Loan Officer with the US Small Business Administration. Tony’s BA Degree in Political Science and History from UNM, plus US and Oversees travel contribute to his awareness of Public Policy and World Affairs. Tony, a “senior” himself, has experienced the “Boomer” Maturing of America and recognizes the dynamics and phenomena of a maturing society in an ever changing world. He especially appreciates the contributions made by our energetic, knowledgeable, and mature senior citizens. Volunteerism is paramount in New Mexico, thus saving the state millions of dollars.

Tony envisions a Cultural-Evolution that will likely see a return, at least in part, to many old social values, including a reliance on the Extended Family and each other through social interaction. Many Modern Extended Families are comprised of Boomers, Pre-Boomers, Boomerangs and their Babies, seeking answers to “Where and How Shall We Live?”

Positively new Mexico was an open discussion forum for all topics relevant to a Modern and Maturing Society, including Public Policy and Social Dynamics, in a rapidly changing world.

Tony and his knowledgeable guests engage and invite New Mexicans and Visitors to New Mexico to contribute and participate in the conversation. Tony’s inquisitive nature lends itself to provocative discussions of Life’s important questions.
